Section 13.7 – Derivative 7 Diminutive Noun
اِسْمُ الْتَّصْغيْرِ Ismut Tas-ghee-ri

 

This Noun implies minimizing, reduction in size or number. For example, the Noun عُصَيفِيْرٌ usai-fee-run means a small bird from a scale of فَعِيْلٌ fa-‘ee-lunwhich is a Tas-gheer of عُصْفُوْرٌus-foo-runa bird.
